Auburn/Opelika Area Information

The twin cities of Auburn and Opelika offer a wealth of year round activities.

Home to Auburn University and the Auburn Tigers, football fans visit from near and far each fall to hear the War Eagle battle cry as the eagle soars in front of the American flag and down to the 50-yard line before the “loveliest village in The Plains” evolves into  a clash of strength, endurance and drive.

When away from the sports opportunities of the University, area attractions expand beyond belief.  Surrounded by state parks, tourists and residents delight in the opportunities to hike, kayak, camp, fish and enjoy fireside chat.   Something for all ages, the spring/summer azaleas, fine museums and area history are to be enjoyed on a leisurely afternoon.

Named the #1 Golf City in the U.S. by Golf Digest, fans of the sport are easily persuaded to partake in an afternoon along the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail.  Grand National has long been a favorite of many.

Auburn and Opelika are centrally located to Montgomery, Birmingham and Atlanta.
